Chronic disease can be both physically and emotionally debilitating for a client. As an exercise professional, you can make a difference during the prevention, management and recovery phases. With the Helping Clients Manage Disease through Exercise course bundle, you’ll learn how to make physical and emotional impact on clients affected by cancer, Type 2 diabetes and thyroid disease.

Courses include:

Exercise for the Prevention and Management of Type 2 Diabetes (0.1 CECs)
Learn research-based strategies for preventing and managing Type 2 diabetes with exercise, as well as exercise programs most effective in combatting this disease. You’ll gain valuable insights and tools that you can put to work immediately with your clients who are diabetic or have prediabetes.

Understanding Thyroid Disease:  Exercise Programming for Client Success (0.1 CECs)
Thyroid disease can be a frustrating condition, but you can help. Find out how to develop safe and effective training programs for affected clients, and learn how to build rapport and trust through understanding and empathy so you can keep your clients confident and motivated.

Working with Cancer Patients (0.1 CECs)
Exercise can be extremely beneficial for the recovery of cancer patients, but there are critically important factors to consider. In this course, you will learn how to take a step-by-step approach through the assessment process and workout programming, including absolute contraindications to exercise, so you can most effectively work with cancer patients.
